It takes the player to the city of Pune, India, where they can work for different companies and live in different apartments. GTA Pune City was created as an entry level sandbox game with minimal grinding required and as such does not have any skill trees or items as such. In Free Mode, players have the freedom to go around exploring Pune City by foot or using a vehicle of their choice. The game offers a wide range of vehicles that can be bought using in-game or real-life currency. These vehicles range from two-wheelers, which are motorcycles and scooters, to four-wheelers such as cars, vans and trucks. In GTA Pune City, damage of the vehicle is visual only and does not affect the gameplay of the player. In Free Mode, there are also special events during which players can participate to earn extra money if they wish to. In Multiplayer Mode, players can join different clubs formed by other players who also play GTA Pune City. These clubs allow players to compete for rank and earn money. Clubs only allow players to play with the members of that specific club. There are four different types of clubs in GTA Pune City: The game is set in the city of Pune, which is the capital city of Maharashtra. The game takes place in two areas: Old Pune and New Pune. Old Pune is where most of the activities take place such as work, shops, restaurants, bars and markets; this area also has most routes leading out to other areas of Pune.
